Character - Find new friends based on thought-provoking questions

Hey ProductHunt 👋! We're @daanz and @zeestad, co-founders of Character. 🌱 Our history We found each other in the Entrepreneur First program - based on our psychometric compatibility - no joke! We instantly hit it off and discussed possible problems to solve. 🤗 Why we started We've personally always struggled to find friends (at least the right ones). But during the lockdowns we realized how widespread the problem really was - and felt like it was about time for a dedicated friend-finding app! 🙀🥳 The journey so far We've built friendship-project.de before - a simple landing page that lead to a few typeforms and ultimately matched you via email. Of course, this was suboptimal - but we learned a ton from our users! Some of the people we connected back then are still meeting up today. 🤗 We took those learnings and baked them into our native app, which we launch today! 😜 What you’re all thinking Isn't there Tinder and OkCupid? -> These are dating apps - expectations are very different - and so are the features (i.e. the matchmaking algorithm). 💡 How does it work? 1. Download the free app 2. Create an account 3. Swipe cards to tell us a bit about your interests, values, ambitions and personality 4. After a while profiles will appear -> swipe those as well 5. Great idea & app – so many dating apps out there, yet nothing to help me find the needle(s) in the haystack when it comes to friends. Just makes sense to fill that gap. Can't believe this app didn't exist, yet!

Cool product! Just tried it out and find it super interesting! You have bunch of thought-provoking questions to answer and eventually I could even see my personality analysis (LOVE IT). Now I am excited to see who you will recommend me as my best-friend-to-be ;)
