Since we are doing well, a shoutout to @ishaan_pareek who has been immensely helpful these past few weeks. He has - given me ideas on monetisation (Brave Rewards, donate button, paid memberships & paid events) - suggested improvements to the site (improve page insights score, give vendors ability to display their discount codes, add testimonials, a "trusted by brands" section) - spell-checked my articles (and caught a mistake!), - suggested tools I can use (Grammarly) - made a 'Build a Stack' QR code - organised a BaS party (attended by his mom and younger sister) - and more He is my nephew and is 9 years old :)

@ishaan_pareek @navpar Love this! Feel free to grab some more monetisation options for free from https://saasaffiliate.com

@ishaan_pareek @richp_ Thanks Rich. I will look it up! I have registered for a couple of affiliate programs. But having a list like this will save the digging around for the right URL

@verazhylka thank you, Vera.

@navpar This is really cool! I wonder if you're planning to add review/comment section, or a ranking system so that people can evaluate which tool fits their need.
Navin Pareek
@anunay It is technically easy for me to enable it. However, there are so many other good review sites (G2, Capterra, Trust Radius, etc, etc. In fact, we link to them on every product description page on BaS). And most tend to have good ratings for their product. I guess if you have bought the product (these are the people who review), you wouldn't want to disparage it in public. I want to focus on the nuances of using the software tool. Mainly usecases of how it fits in a particular process. Also plan to review each software in depth. Maybe even allow for comparisons based on pricing. So, for example, if you require a large number of users to access a particular product, maybe one that bills per month is better than the one that bills per user. For example, Drift vs crisp.chat.

Hello everyone, Build a Stack (BaS) started as a side project because of the tools I needed for my business. That list has now grown to 3,500 tools and resources. Extremely pleased to be on ProductHunt, the platform that has helped me find many of these gems. The primary focus of BaS is integrate-ability. I believe that every software tool exists as part of a process. BaS allows you to choose a category, and then filter based on integration with 100+ other software tools like Hubspot, Marketo, Parabola, Datadog, Slack, OneLogin, etc. The second focus on BaS is Usecases. I think it is useful to talk about how software is used in a company's process. I have made a start with a few articles but would love to do more. In addition, BaS 1. links to all the review sites (G2, Capterra, etc) and up to 120+ other places on the internet that talk about this software 2. allows you to compare multiple products by functionality and integrations 3. saves your favourites to "My Stack" BaS is not perfect. It probably has a few bugs, could load faster, needs more frequent updates, etc. But let me know if you like the concept and how I can improve it. Oh.. and BaS is built with off the shelf components and no custom code. Finally, as part of the launch, I have opened up a few free 1-1 consultation sessions. If you think I can help improve current processes, implement new ones, get to market faster, or just better your reporting spreadsheet/financial model, please book a slot at https://calendly.com/navin/30-mi....

This is just great, congrats on putting together this platform. I'm already sold on the idea that setting up the right toolbox for your startup is key and can be a true competitive advantage and I like to think of myself as a "product geek" but I already discovered interesting tools that weren't on my radars in the first few minutest of browsing Build a Stack. Working on uses cases and focus on "integrability" is really smart!
Navin Pareek
@pascal_briod Glad it helped! The number and variety of products now available is truly amazing. In fact, I think the stack of the future will be more products than hand-coded. A tweet of mine on this subject got a fair bit of attention: https://twitter.com/navpar/statu...

A time-saving tool to help you find time saving tools, what a great idea !
Ronald Czachara
Looks nice. Thanks and I just submitted SIGNL4.

@roncz Great integrations! Will surely include it when I update the site next
Alex Papageorge
This is great. So many people just compare what they know w/out comparing what they don't know (duh).. Great tool, I will absolutely be using.
Navin Pareek
@alex_papageorge That's what we like to hear! Hope you find some useful resources
Mirko Maccarrone
Great idea, I see so much value on it!

@mirko_maccarrone thanks Mirko. Love to hear such comments!

Thank you for sharing this resource - there's so much there! Suppose I wanted to create a tech startup, say it will be Uber for Computer Cables. Could I use your website to compare different choices for my stack as I start (db, website design, events, payments, storage, a/b test, analytics, etc.)? How would I do so?
Navin Pareek
@jim_kleban Great question! So let's web analytics as an example. You could search for analytics and select "web analytics". This would bring you here: https://buildastack.com/product-.... This will show you the usual suspects like Google analytics, Piwik, etc. But will also show GoSquared (which is essentially a chat software) and PaveAI (turns your analytics in to actionable insights). Now, if you want your analytics to, say, integrate with Segment, you could click that option from the left hand list under CDP. This will bring you here: https://buildastack.com/product-.... You can now click the options there and then view more details about each product. This includes the sub categories (i.e. functionalities). For example, you will notice that GoSquared will give you analytics, Chat and CRM as well. The product description will give you other links to ~130 different places on the internet (including review sites like G2, Capterra, etc) to find out more about GoSquared. You could also click the compare button (the one that looks like a bar graph) against 2 or more products to add them to the compare list. Then click the compare on the top right to see the results. Not claiming that everything is perfect (some products may be mis-classified due to errors, changing functionalities, etc). But that is how it is supposed to work :)
Dinakar Sakthivel
Wow, Build a Stack is a beauty! Your project will help us find tools for our projects, at ease. And next time when someone asks me "what stack you're on", I can simply share my saved lists to them.
Navin Pareek
@dinakar :) Very happy to hear this! I would also suggest Product Hunt's YourStack. It might be a better product for this usecase since they have more software tools.
Navin Pareek
@dinakar Thank you! I must admit this functionality wasn't top of mind when I was building the product. Shows the value a PH launch brings in identifying what people like.
Bhushan Deshmukh
This is a great collection and vey timely. what was used to create the website itself?
Navin Pareek
@bgd As I said in my original post, there is no custom code. It is a simple WordPress + WooCommerce site with quite a few plugins. Makes it easy to maintain and enhance.
Cheol Park
This website is really awesome. Thank you guys.

@new_user_4d93c34de7 :) Thank you for the kind words!

@navpar - this is an absolutely vital tool for those looking to start out in this ocean of products! It would certainly benefit people by avoiding up front the integration/compatibility issues faced later down the line... cheers!
Navin Pareek
@sphoplankar thank you for the endorsement!
