@zmiro I never to questionnaires. But this tool would be great as a slack bot. Also there could be some public recognition. Like thank you userX for completing the questionnaire. published in a public channel etc.

Some of the directions we're considering are ways to make it easier to recruit participants directly from AskMore, adding some "enterprise" features like shareable reports, expanding on new types of interviews like usability testings etc. Let us know what you think would be interesting if you end up giving it a try! @ricardo_luz Hey Ricardo! This is a great question. It basically came from our own need. We were exploring other side project ideas and we wanted to validate our assumptions. We tried to run user interview but that was a struggle (low reply rate, huge delays to get on an actual call). We then considered running a survey to reach more people faster, but we quickly realised our questions required to adapt to the user answers and to dig deeper. That's at this moment that my friend Arindam suggested the idea of using AI to build "smart surveys".

@jakeharr Thanks a lot Jake! We'll definitely have a look at AffordHunt, seems like a super interesting concept for an app like ours. I'd say our biggest challenge has probably been building with AI in my opinion (Arindam might have a different answer!). We spent a lot of time crafting the different prompts we use in AskMore and it's really time consuming to test different versions of the prompts, measure the impact etc. There's just no real toolkit for people building on top of AI yet.

I was lucky to be an early tester of AskMore. What I've found is that I can focus on the goal of the survey, rather than getting stuck in the wording, which sped up getting the feedback I needed. I was curious how good it would be at interacting and getting the information I needed and it was spot on; dug in whenever needed to clarify the person's feedback. This is something I find lacking with traditional surveys. I'm a small business renaming services to better fit with client expectations so having the ability to see the client's thought process meant I could adjust better.

Just tried it out - the demo worked spectacularly well and was super simple to execute. One idea I’m going to try: Use this app and then distribute the link on Amazon Turk to get mass feedback - eg : Getting feedback from 500 random people on a topic ..

@zmiro you will definitely need to give the customer (the person creating the interview) control on the “custom instructions” to satisfy the paying customers (might have to support GPT-4 too as a premium service)

@alden_dorosario We're actually already running on GPT4! And you can add custom instructions to the interview as well. We've seen people using it to change the tone of the interview, shorten it, ask the AI researcher to suggest to share the interview link with the team and some other cool use cases. It's pretty powerful. Anything in particular you'd like to have control on?

Users interviews are always super time consuming, can't wait to try askmore with a clear use case. Repporting interviews and sahring data to the product team is also time consuming and often lead to confusion. Askmore look like the perfect bridge between UI/UX feedbacks and your dev team.

@exo_cody Thanks for the cool feedback! Yeah we actually started with some interviews for our own side projects. We managed to get close to 50 answers in just 3 days on our first interview, and the insights were similar if not better than what we would have had in traditional interviews. That's how we've started considering building a real product out of it!
