How many times do you think you switch between apps every day?
On iOS, there is the 'Suggestions' box in the App Library, which displays four apps based on your usage patterns. It is often useful, but the experience could be even better on a computer. Here, screens are large and a keyboard is always accessible, and predictions can be much more accurate even with just one or two letters.
That’s why I’ve been working on Applight, which can help streamline your app switching experience with next app prediction. I believe app switching deserves its own solution, and I hope Applight can be that one for you, too.
Tip 1: Starting with macOS Sonoma, you can create Safari web apps and open them using Applight. It's a convenient way to access your frequently visited websites.
Tip 2: I really like the distinction between app switching and window switching on macOS. For window switching, you can use an app like AltTab to bring the windows from the current app in the order they were used.
