Aerotime - Group meetings together and find time for deep work

Every time we switch context, it takes us way longer to finish a task at hand.
Aerotime creates space for deep work by stacking your meetings together & enables you to prioritize your most important tasks, in flow.
Done across team, it saves even more hours.

Thanks for hunting Aerotime, @mwseibel. Hey PH community 👋 Hope everyone's doing good out there. **OUR STORY** We started building Aerotime when we realized that we were not able to do anything important during work hours and "real work" was forced after 5 pm. My day as a product manager was going from one meeting to another. It’s not like there were a ton of meetings, just that they were spread out across the day creating these 30 min to 1 hour free time in between where no deep work was really possible. At the end of the day, I felt that nothing important was getting done. I saw myself writing PRDs and strategy docs post work hours just to catch-up. Urgent was taking over important. @goeldhru resonated with this problem even as an engineer at Amazon who didn't have a lot of meetings. Why? He was constantly distracted by trivial interruptions (a ping that didn’t need an instant response). This context switching made it hard for him to “zone in” on his work, causing him to code after work hours. Trivial interruptions were breaking the flow state. **WHY WE NEED AEROTIME** Our work life has become immensely better with tools that enable super fast collaboration - something we definitely need for teams to come together and succeed. But at the same time, it is also leading to loss of creative energy that is highly needed for tasks like writing code, designing, strategizing etc. We believe best of both worlds is possible! While our brains have an amazing ability to switch context, it leads to a 40% drop in productive time (ping me if you're interested in research around it). Loss in productive time -> Long working hours (or delays in projects) -> Burnout and unhappiness. Time to fix it. **HOW AEROTIME WORKS** Create Space: At the root, Aerotime tries to minimize context switches. We do this by clubbing similar meetings together, which creates large chunks of time available for deep work within working hours. Prioritize: On the space created, we help you visualize and prioritize your tasks by bringing them on calendar as time blocks. Commit: To make sure you commit to the task in hand - which is called being in flow: - We snooze Slack notifications during that time curbing external distractions - We give you focus music options that help in curbing internal distractions Track: Analytics on time fragmentation, burn out and other flow metrics to help you retrospect and improve. **REQUEST FROM PH COMMUNITY** We're only 8 weeks old, so we request you to try out the product, give us feedback which will help us shape the product in the right direction. Together, let's be effective and not just busy. 💪 Join the waitlist, we open up seats every 7 days and personally onboard our users to make sure they are setup for success. For PH community, it is 2 weeks free trial and then 20% off for 1 year.

Been using this for a while now and have found the service to be incredibly useful. If deep work matters to you and your team then try Aerotime out. @piyush_narwani - what other new features can we expect over the next couple of months?
Piyush Narwani
@baboonzero Thanks for the trust, Anshumani. Top two features to look out for: 1) We are bringing integrations with Jira and other tools to actually track productivity improvements and see what are the key reasons it suffers. You can't fix what you can't track. 2) We are building something that will cut down meetings overload. Yes, it is primarily driven by culture but nudges and key data points if used the right way can drive culture change as well :)
Reshma Khilnani
@piyush_narwani @baboonzero I'm glad for integrations. The focus time is already a great feature for me.
Piyush Narwani
@baboonzero @reshmakhilnani Great to hear this! Your app's updated, check it out. :D
Kevin Simons
We're big believers in async work at Kitemaker and having big blocks of time for deep work is crucial for this. I think Aerotime is really onto something here. Especially people working in management in big organizations need to try it out 😁
Piyush Narwani
@ksimons Completely agreed on deep work time. I also wanna call out, people continue to try and improve their work ethics but sometimes we need to fix systems around us for faster and better results. :D
Aashay Mittal
Congrats @piyush_narwani @goeldhru . Looking forward to using Aerotime on outlook :)
Piyush Narwani
@goeldhru @mittal_aashay 😁 soon! Thanks for this Aashay. Helps us prioritize MSFT 365 even more.
Phillip Daneshyar
damn i need this.
Piyush Narwani
@phillip_daneshyar We can't wait to have you onboarded either. :D Which part did you resonate with the most?
Malcolm McCutcheon
Slick, looks like it has a clean user experience!
Piyush Narwani
@malcolm_m Thanks Malcolm, most productivity apps require you to take a lot of manual effort in basic tasks. We were biased from day one that we will ask as minimal things as needed and let ML do the most part. It won't be perfect to begin with but at-least people will use it more because it is so easy. We of course provide advanced settings hidden in the menu if automation is not as per what you expected. Hope this will make sense to Aerotime members. Hoping to see you use Aerotime and give feedback soon! Cheers!

Great work @piyush_narwani and team! Have been using this product for past couple of months. Love the feature that mutes Slack notifications during focus hours. Highly recommend for anyone whose days run by calendar!

great stuff @piyush_narwani! such an effective tool!
Piyush Narwani
@saransh_solanki Thanks Saransh! Which feature is adding the most value to you?
Saransh Solanki
@piyush_narwani the auto stacking of meetings which helps find these slots of 1-2 hours of focus time within my working hours is brilliant. so simple, yet so powerful.
Amit Upadhyay (amitu)
Looking forward to checking it out. Addresses a very important problem, my calendar is full of holes. Best of luck @piyush_narwani, @goeldhru.
Piyush Narwani
@amit_upadhyay_amitu_ Thanks a ton, hope we're able to fill some of those holes :)
James Quinn

@james_afino Thanks James, can't wait for you to try the product.
Akshay Arora
Does this rearrange meetings for all of the others involved at the same time, say 15 people (which is perhaps what my calendar looks like)? Once you start traversing that graph, I have to imagine that it starts to get a bit complicated in trying to arrange the calendars for even more. I see the value in creating blocks of time (one could create a company culture around this), but how well does this work when you have a company of more than a couple of people's calendars to update?
Piyush Narwani
@akiarora That's a great question, Akshay. And yes, you're right, it does get complicated to solve when more people come onboard. The algo takes longer to run but the results are exponentially better because we can move a lot more meetings to perfect times. This happens because of increased calendar visibility and the ability to actually move the meeting. Just creating blocks of time doesn't work because they tend to get overridden or there is no place to add them in the first place. The workload is not going down, we just have to figure out a way to structure it in such a way that minimizes context switches and these dead blocks (30 min between different meetings where nothing important gets done). Hope it answered your question?
Beth Harwood
Cool concept! I've seen products that try to tackle parts of this (like focusing work time by snoozing notifications) - but I love that you bring multiple parts together with grouping meetings, focus music, etc. Congrats on your launch!
Piyush Narwani
@beth_harwood Hey Beth, yes totally! We believe two things needs to be tackled together. First, we need to create space in the calendar. Then we need better visualization towards your important (not urgent) tasks such that you can always be on top of your week's key priorities. Then our icing on the cake is helping you commit on it and then tracking it. 🧁 Can't wait for you to try Aerotime!!
Taruna Manchanda
Such a cool concept! I end up spending 15-20 mins every morning dedicatedly and than many uncountable minutes more during the day just trying to move meetings around, trying to free up time for some solo work. Can't wait to use this product!
Piyush Narwani
@taruna2309 Thanks Taruna, we're getting this on Outlook very soon!
Ross Cranwell
Congrats Piyush! I've been using Aerotime for the last few weeks and it's brilliant!!
Piyush Narwani
@ross_cranwell2 Thank you for the trust, Ross.

Ali Abramovitz
I literally need this exact product SO BADLY! Very impressed with Piyush and cant wait until they roll it out for smaller teams
Piyush Narwani
@aliabramovitz Thanks a ton for your support. We are almost ready for smaller teams! Smaller teams have a lot of external and adhoc meetings! We're solving for such use cases. Meanwhile, you can get onboarded and try on Aerotime Priorities - Your tasks, auto-blocked on calendar. Never miss something which is important to be done because something urgent (but trivial) came up!
Rahool Gadkari
Aero time has helped create a forcing functions on my calendar. I take time off to practice deep work and also get great visibility into how to utilize my time better. Looking forward to starting these guys off on a pilot at our company to bring these efficiencies to all team members. Works on my GCal, so set up was very straightforward. Give this product a spin if you care about your time!
Piyush Narwani
@rahoolgads Thanks Rahool, can't wait to get started on the pilot. Aerotime shines way better with team onboarded!
