This is super useful! Does it work in html emails?
Jens Kuerschner
@anais_c no, since Javascript is not running within emails. You would need to create a landingpage and link to it. Could be an addon project to provide a target URL, where you can send users from emails and it then automatically only shows the respective button (or even triggers the correct calendar logic directly. Will think about it.

While building a personal wedding page, I was confronted with the task to include a button, where invited people could save the event to their calendars. I did not want to build this from scratch (first) and therefore started the usual web research. Unfortunately, all I found where some extremely outdated code snippets, which did not really fit all the modern systems and calendar tools. Beside that, there was only the solution by AddEvent.com - all over the place, pricey and not for my use case. This was, when I started to create this open source project, bringing the power back to whoever needs it. Check out the website for more details or find a live demo at https://jekuer.github.io/add-to-.... In case you are interested, I put the whole story at medium: https://jenskuerschner.medium.co... Looking forward to your feedback! :)

Cool 😎 Can you add the button to a published Notion page?
Jens Kuerschner
@lucky_jeffman as far as I know, it is not directly possible, because you cannot easily inject javascript into notion.

What a great idea! We literally just talked about this in our company wondering if something like this exists. Great stuff!

This is so simple and so great idea. Do you plan on adding some graphics/css to the content of ics? If we talk about an example - I know that Cisco WebEx does it, they have white background and green button alongside multiple font levels (all responsive).
Jens Kuerschner
@konrad_bujak great idea. Might check it out. However, one would need to make this configurable to fit every use case.
