Amazon, reddit, and YouTube 10 years ago πŸ‘€
Over the weekend a funΒ new website came out that lets you see what was happening on the internet exactly 10 years ago.

So much has changed since August 1st, 2007. Thousands were lining up to buy the first iPhone, George W. Bush was in the White House, YouTube's front page was promoting Superbad, Amazon was selling books, and IMDb was hiring their first designer.

Meanwhile, sites like Hacker News and reddit[1] haven't changed much.

See what was happening on the internet 10 years ago today.Β

[1] Get ready to see some big changes at reddit. Yesterday Recode reported that the internet's homepage will use its new $200M in funding to go on a hiring spree and redesign the website.
