Lose track of your SaaS spending?

You probably already know that you’re wasting money on SaaS products.

Subscriptions are started, contracts get signed, and life goes on. We’re all too busy to keep tabs on who is using what and how often before the bill circles back again.

Indus Khaitan, founder of Quolum, tells us that over 30% of the money spent on SaaS every year is wasted. But while the bad feeling of wasting money may nag us (or maybe it's an actual person from the finance team), most of us lack a streamlined way to track our SaaS use.

Track your SaaS: Quolum caught our attention today for its solution that lets you keep track of disparate SaaS products. Contracts are uploaded into Quolum and summarized without jargon, giving you a snapshot of your renewal date and cost. This can help your team can keep track and Quolum says its concierge can “help you find the best terms” for your contracts, too. You can see utilization stats for each one of your SaaS tools to help you reduce your licenses or cut unused tools, and a dashboard for a summary of all your apps and spending. The tool can also issue SaaS cards to use for ad-hoc expenses; invoices get tagged automatically to keep your tracking clean.

Behind Quolum: Prior to Quolum, Khaitan most recently worked as the Chief of Growth at the unicorn subscription management platform, Chargebee. He wrote “I was asked to justify the millions spent on marketing tools in my name. Turned out, I didn’t even know what half those spends were.” Earlier, he co-founded Bitzer Mobile, an infrastructure software for secure access to corporate apps, acquired by Oracle in 2013.

Quolum hopes to reduce your risk in trying out the product, saying “If you don’t save, you don’t pay us.” Worth a shot? See what the community is saying.
