I'm really interested in your direct to fan platform. I have seen a few of your talks, one thing I struggle with is the idea that building a fan base on social media is a wasted effort. Can you explain why it is fundamentally better for artists to sacrifice fan volume on networks where music fans are already active, to get a much smaller but quality direct to fan experience that is on a closed network (SMS / email / etc) ?

@emiliotv my whole platform (http://dmm.fm) is built on the power of SMS as a personal, direct communication channel. Though social is great as the top of the funnel, my new works are being supported and delivered via SMS.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the concept behind your MZRT project (http://www.mzrt.life/). Can you talk about the process of creating and releasing one song per month "until the day you retire from the game"? (1) What inspired such a bold and invigorating project? (2) Are you building habits/routine to help you create so consistently, or are you constantly in creative mode (and one song per month is actually a drop in the idea bucket for you)? What advice do you have for other creatives who want to produce/publish their art more consistently?

@melissajoykong creating constantly comes second nature so I recommend simply producing and posting as much as possible with consistent quality that reflects your standards

What is the best avenue to go down if I want to be an artist manager and create a record-like hedge fund (own publishing and manage artists)? @drawby I would say to get as many phone numbers as possible, select the most interesting people, engage with them as deeply as possible and see what you can do together. Relationships are paramount.
