What's up Product Hunt! My name is Rudy Mancuso and I'm a musician, director and comedian and have accumulated an audience of over 15 million people in two years. In addition to working on my music and my show, I recently partnered with Shots to launch original content called the Awkward Puppets. In a short period of time Awkward Puppets has become one of the fastest growing Youtube and Facebook channels amongst millennials, especially in the US, Brazil and Mexico. So ask me anything.

@nivo0o0 @awkwardpuppets More than you'd think. The workload fluctuates: a given puppet video can take anywhere from six hours to a few days, including writing, shooting, editing, and mastering. Surprisingly enough, the vines can take hours themselves (telling a story in six seconds is more challenging than people think).

Were you always interested in the tech/startup world or was it Vine that really introduced you to it? Also after all your success on Vine, do you plan on pursuing more opportunities in the startup world or more in the musician/director world?

@leon_franco My fascination with tech began as I started monetizing my content online. It's when I started to realize how business-oriented and interesting this world really was. It wasn't until I starting working with @john and @shots that my education about the tech universe was brought to another level. I now find myself instinctively looking at what's next in tech and entertainment, and will undoubtedly pursue more opportunities in the startup world. At this point I find it not only a necessity, but my responsibility.

@rrhoover I understand and appreciate the platform, but personally don't connect with that style of creating content. I feel that it's more invasive than I'd like my brand to be, and prefer to maintain a level of mysteriousness.

@bentossell I wanted to be an entertainer. Whether it be through music, film, puppets, or live comedy, I wasn't sure. I've since then been working hard to find ways of encompassing all of those things within one artistic direction. I think that kid would be proud of me and I think I would be proud of that kid.
