Hello Product Hunt! My name is Maejor and I am a Grammy nominated producer, songwriter and recording artist. I have collaborated with artists such as Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Will.I.Am, Andre 3000, Wiz Khalifa, J. Cole, Ne-Yo and more. I have produced music for films such as Disney's The Princess and The Frog and Sony's Think Like A Man. I recently partnered with Jingle Punks to create original music for film and television. With a lot of the recent news around Spotify, Tidal, Soundcloud and the like, conversations around music and technology seem to be ridden with fear, antagonism or hopelessness. What about the music-tech intersection EXCITES you? How has technology changed your life as a producer, songwriter and recording artist for the better?
@cheriehu42 Great Question! - The fact that literally anyone- anywhere around the world can submit their music to the GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION web known as the internet is extremely exciting imo. This power simply was not available before the rise of the internet and creates a world of possibilities and gives ur artists more control...than EVER BEFORE

Thanks so much for joining us, I would love to hear how do you utilise social media to promote your music and which platform has the highest conversion rates for you?
@harrystebbings To be honest - I havent really mastered using social media to market my music. I find that if you spam people it doesnt make them want to check out your product. I'd rather focus on making the product as strong as it can be and just use social media to make people aware that its out. I could probably honestly do better in social media marketing. Going to work with Moe on that
