@tomstocklein I use self hypnosis all the time for pain management and for going to sleep. It can also work to achieve any desired outcome or goal.

What are the differences when it comes to designing illusions for a stage performance vs for a film?

@jenna_f The process is very similar. Although I guess I have more creative leeway with a movie than real life. In real life of course, you have to make sure the demonstrations are angle proof and work 100% of the time. In movie world, we always have the option of doing a second or third take if something goes wrong

@emolas Yes, it's up on YouTube for all to see. I was performing an escape which went wrong where I was tied with 100 foot of rope and my head was wrapped in plastic wrap. I basically couldn't escape and passed out on stage.

@woanversace The real magic for me is the power of in the subconscience and the untapped abilities that we have there. I am fascinated and obsessed exploring these untapped abilities. Not just myself but in other people - that for me is real magic and of course there's always room for tricks too!

Are the illusions in the films based on acts that you have performed? Without cameras and special effects, are all of them possible to perform?

@ems_hodge Yes. There are a number of scenes which use variations of tricks that I have done in real life. There is a scene with Dave Franco and three large cards - keep you eye out for that one.

Does anyone react badly to being hypnotised?

@jakecrump Yes. In hypnosis some people have what we call a abreaction. An abreaction is an abnormal reaction to hypnosis, which in extreme cases can result in someone having a seizure.
