@callmethebear There have been proposals on making Bitcoin a Unicode character dating back to around 2011. Some issues existed around the fact that the Bitcoin symbol is a logo, and logos aren't permitted in Unicode. I believe these were overcome, and Bitcoin symbol could be on its way. Not as an emoji though. This would be as a regular glyph like £$€&§
