Elijah Daniel is a comedian, and author of the best selling novel Trump Temptation. He's also known for doing really dumb/funny/viral things (here's a rundown in one epic tweet thread). More recently in the wake of the Orlando Shooting, Elijah started using his platform to amplify the voices that need to be heard and opening his DMs to anyone that needs to talk. He received over 500 DMs within 15 minutes (read more about that in his Open Letter to LGBT Kids) on Fusion. Question for Elijah: If there was one thing you could share from your experience with everyone from the LGBT community, what would it be?

@nivo0o0 to just keep going, and live life the best you can. Stop caring so much what people think, nothing good ever comes of that. Just be the best you. I sound like gay Oprah, but it's really the only way to live. Worry less about people's thoughts of you, and more about what makes you happy.

Elijah you are pretty much my personal hero of the month I love how you help teenagers coming out to their parents. The messages of the tweets you are sharing are just amazing.

Can you tell us a bit more about what kind of discussions you have with those teenagers? What is their typical concern and background. I can't even imagine being too scared to be honest to my parents. What is usually a turning point in their motivation? What gives them the last bit needed confidence. Also how can others help friends/relatives in similar situations?

@andreasklinger A bunch of the concerns and questions have been related to coming out, and how to do it. But the majority of the questions weren't questions at all, they were just kids who have a voice and want to be heard. They just needed someone to listen to. My advice for helping friend and relatives in similar situations would be to just listen.

@sydney_liu_sl mostly just stupidity, tbh. I don't plan anything, I just do stuff as soon as it pops into my head. Try things. Try all the things. For every one thing of my that's successful there was 100 other terrible ideas that didn't go well, so just keep testing and trying things.
