Adam Grant@adammgrant · Author: ORIGINALS and GIVE AND TAKE
Hi, I'm Adam Grant, top-rated professor at Wharton, a New York Times writer on business and psychology, and author of Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World. My earlier book was Give & Take: Why Helping Others Drives Our Success. For many years I've been researching how individuals champion new ideas and leaders fight groupthink. I'm thrilled to be here--ask me anything!

@AdamMGrant wow, such a huge fan of yours Adam and have been since @davidhornik recommended Give and Take on @twentyminutevc my question is which value or principle do you hold core to your daily life? Would love to hear this one!

@AdamMGrant - what's the proportion of Original thinkers in different fields? For example, how "original" are those in politics compared to S&T. Going further - where would we look to find the MOST original thinkers - and in what fields?

@AdamMGrant I am also a huge fan of yours, what's the most common trait you see in most successful entrepreneurs?

Hi Adam! Our connection and trust to our government is at an all time low. How would an original approach this issue and try to change the hearts and minds of Americans regarding our government?
My question is: What is the one question has not yet been formulated by anyone?

Hello Adam, thanks for being here, I'm a huge fan of your work! (if you happen to come to Paris 🇫🇷 tweet me!) Is there any book / movie you read / saw when you were younger that profoundly changed your view about something / has greatly influenced you and if so why?
Savithran Ramesh@savithran_ramesh
Going by how original both your books have been, I don't think quantity of books is going to determine the quality of work in your case! This brings me to my question, have you come across any outlier individual who has consistently come up with original work without any misses? If yes, how would you explain this? This question arises out of me trying to reconcile Originals with 10000 hour rule and Coyle's deep work. Once this threshold is crossed, isn't it natural for the quality of ideas to improve and creativity to be consistent across new work (not necessarily in reference to experimental innovators)? Or is this incorrect across board?

Hi @AdamMGrant what's going on in the wider world that makes #Originals timely? What kind of impact do you hope the book has?

Why, in your view, the seemingly sudden rise of the popularity and legitimacy of Donald Trump with the GOP? I am perplexed.

Adam, thanks a lot for doing this chat for us . Give & Take and Never Eat Alone are the best books I've read about creating meaningful relationships. Questions : 1. What 5 minute favor can I do for you now ? :) 2. If you could give us one actionable test we can all try out (other than 5 minute favor) , that you think would yield the greatest results for the general audience here on PH, what would it be?
