We are currently working on finalizing a chrome extension that leverages the 'hover' functionality. which of these logo designs do you think would be the right fit for the product? https://ibb.co/rp8tKNP Feel free to give us your brutally honest feedback.

the first one is very simple, clean and doesnt look cheap. Good job! Also, other versions are just a bit too chaotic

Hmm, probably option #1. The reason being that #2 communicates the idea well only in the full lock-up, but when the underlined H is isolated it can mean anything, to be honest. Option #3 doesn't seem bad, but there's just something throwing me off about that slanted "h". It's totally subjective, though.

@price2spy We have went with slight different logo. Please take a look at the product here and give us feed back. :) https://www.producthunt.com/disc...

Could you be a bit more specific and explain how it would work? I like number 1 and 2, but when you don't know about the extension, logo number 1 might be to obscure? Agreed with @price2spy about option 3

@rubenwolff Thank you Ruben on the feedback. I do agree it would be hard to decide without knowing the whole product. I will share our 'shipped' page in the next few days.

I have no idea about the company, but #1 looks most elegant. I'm not a fan of this color. Especially when presented on pinkish background.

@abel_product Logo looks good but consider using full name in a logo, especially in marketing/tutorial videos. One letter logos work well for recognisable brands like Netflix or Google. "H" is good as a favicon but I would use full name when possible to build brand awereness.

@zdanovi Any feedback on the product itself?

@abel_product Might be useful on tablet. On desktop I can open new card easily and fast so I don't see a need for that. Maybe I would have changed mind after using it. I'm on team Firefox so I'm not your target for now :)

Not a huge fan of any of them to be honest, but if I had to choose, I would choose #2. I think these are at the "thumbnail" stage - except they've been done on the computer (which I recommend against) If these are close to "final", then they need a lot of refining. If they are in the "rough/concept" stage, then it is a better idea to present them in black & white or greyscale as colour should not matter at this point. Logo: I think they look far to generic - they need to be more unique and memorable. Wordmark: The choice of fonts have not been researched enough IMO. There are sooo many incredible fonts out there - I would recommend spending at least a few hours just researching the font. Concept: If the idea is to play on the word "hover", I would spend more time looking for a less obvious (and more creative) metaphor. Good luck!

@stefan_morris This is really helpful Stefan. We are playing with the concept more and will update you by the end of the week.

Hi @stefan_morris , here is the logo we have went with along the product itself. Please take a look and let me know. :) https://www.producthunt.com/disc...

@abel_product I definitely like that logo better, however it still feels a bit unrefined. I think it could use 3 - 4 more iterations and you would end up with something very professional. Regardless, its a noticeable improvement on what you had before IMO. Here's a small glimpse on my logo creation process - I actually iterated it many, many times before settling on the design. https://shustudios.com/identity

I'm not sure I like the black line underneath, but I prefer #2 because the hovering looks intentional. In #1 it looks like a falling page or a slight breeze.

I’m really sorry my brother, but all 3 are terrible. 1st rule is simplicity (symbolic), if you have to write it it’s no good. 2nd rule ask someone to look at it for 5 seconds then ask them to draw it. If they can’t remember it it’s no good. 3rd rule better to have abstract symbols that display your meaning. You want to display a chrome extension for the hover. But think what the hover feature actually offers or serves for you. I would for example have a magnifier symbol with an h perhaps??

@coinanalytics1 I definitely would not call these 'rules'... for example, can you draw the Starbucks logo? But I agree with the overall sentiment.
