What not to do before launching on Product Hunt?

I often see a lot of posts about what to do before launch, and they are all great. But what have you done or experienced that shouldn't be done before launching on Product Hunt?

@mark_lucking that's a tough one. I would release the MVP first, so that you can start having users earlier, but both options are fine I guess :)

Not a personal story, but I believe you should avoid launching while you're setting a new feature, as bugs are more likely to occur as long as this feature is not completely set

@rubenwolff That is hard for a lot of new software launching, especially if it is an MVP with new features being added all the time. Would you say then it would be best to hold any new features till a set time after launch? Or not launch as an MVP but wait until all features are added?
