Something that is intuitive to many different users and allows them to get what they need out of the product as easily as possible. That is ultimately the end game, and whilst of course you want it to look as nice as possible and accurately reflect your brand, the reality is, if a customer can't work out what to do, most won't bother continuing using it (if they have that choice) or will resent it (if they don't have that choice).

@stevenbirchall so true - how it looks and branding is definitely second to intuitive, usable design. Great advice!

When it comes to design, there is no magic formula for success. However, there are certain elements that can make a design more successful than others. One of the most important aspects of a successful design is its ability to communicate the right message to the audience. The design must be able to clearly convey the intended message in an effective and appealing way. Another important element of a successful design is its aesthetic appeal. A well-designed piece should be visually pleasing and inviting to look at. It should also be easy to navigate and use, with a clean and organized layout that makes it easy for users to find what they are looking for. Finally, a successful design must also be functional and practical. It should serve its purpose well and meet the needs of its users. A good design should be user-friendly, efficient, and durable.
