Using data to personalize messaging in video

I've been researching the video automation space over the last year and have an idea that is starting to move from pet project to a real business. The premise is to use 1st party and 3rd party data to dynamically weave together snippets of video content that can best communicate a message at the individual recipient level. The easiest way to say it is I'd like to turn boring, text based, data driven emails into rich, video based communications that can be interactive and engaging. There are some products in existence that do similar things but all of them seem to be very complex, require the use of Adobe products and demand a high level of design skill. Is anyone on here working on something similar or have insight? Much appreciated.
