Tips for launching an info product on PH?

What are the best practices to follow while launching an info product, guide, e-books, or resources on PH?

A few different things you can do:
- Start creating a product hunt ship page to collect support: https://www.producthunt.com/ship
- These kind of resources often perform the best on Friday/Saturday/Sunday as there is not as much competition, meaning that with fewer upvotes you can more easily make first page.
(Depends a bit on the size of your current community/popularity of the guide what day you end up picking)
- Do you already have an audience waiting for these materials? If not you can start creating a hype around it on your different channels. Maybe release snippets or attention grabbers from the information in them to get people's attention.

Launch on Friday. This is the lowest competition day. As Infor product tends to underperform it is better to go for a low competition day.

I'm prepping for my launch, so I can share a few things I've found:
- Building your audience before the launch so they support it. Social can help with this.
- Partnerships. Asking people in a similar space or who do what you do to support you on launch day can give you a big boost.
- Create a single page with simple instructions for your audience so it's easier for them to follow through.
- Find lists of forums in your space and post on them as often as you can, consistently, for a week or two before launch.
- Offer an additional bonus. Let your people know that supports are entered into a draw of some kind (they'd have to prove they supported).
- Offer a good discount on PH (if paid product). Or, offer a bonus for subscribers if they sub on launch day.
