Should you think like an artist?

The CEO's mindset is to sit down and write a plan. After that, you add a bit of structure and leadership on top. The problem is, plans are boring. And most people hate following them. So why not use a more artistic mindset? In the art world, plans are thrown out the window. You start a new piece of work and it takes a life of its own. You explore. You play. You change direction. You make mistakes. You fall in love with a project, but then when you get bored with it, you let it die. Then you go on to the next idea. The secret is to expand and explore. Something will be a flop. Something will require a lot of work. But something will be a genius piece of art.

100% however I think it's a fine dance between being an artist and also a practical operator. Finding that balance is an art in itself :)
