Should you launch with a lower price and increase with traction?

I see two options here:
- You launch on PH/Twitter/etc with a lower monthly/annual price to test the market and get some traction. If things go well, you up the price (with the option of grandfathering old users)
- Or you launch with the "normal" price right off the bat, and see where that leads you.
What are your thoughts on this?

Launch with your real intended price. People are some committed and adapted to what they are familiar with. Changes take time to adapt to, even with price. That's my opinion. But you can tweak your price later only if necessary.
