It comes as no surprise that people like spending time with and being around their animal companions. According to the PetCareRx, research have demonstrated that owning a pet can have a variety of health advantages, from lower blood pressure to improved adult cognitive function. However, artificial intelligence has offered a solution for folks who are unable to be around genuine animals.
It's an interesting one. We could put it in two ways -
1. With the help of AI, we can communicate with our pets, understand their emotions, behaviour and needs and train them more effectively.
2. The second one is, why not have an AI character in itself? I know many would say virtual pets may not be able to replace real ones. I agree with that, but what about those who love pets but cannot own one? (due to financial factors, living conditions, allergies, time constraints, so on and so forth)
AI for pets holds great potential. While pets require personal care and attention, AI can complement pet ownership by assisting with tasks like monitoring their health, providing reminders for feeding and exercise, or even offering companionship through virtual pets. It's not a replacement for the love and care pets need but can enhance the overall pet-owner experience. The key lies in finding the right balance between technology and the genuine human-pet bond.
