My take is not to imitate an app or service. Instead what you can do is :

- Can you add more unfair advantages than the service provided by the app which is into the hype ? ( Not just updating a shiny and attractive Ui/Ux ) - Are the users listening to what you are providing over the app which they are using from last 4-5 years ? - New features first (time and cost saving), existing features later. Can you do that ? If you got answers to this, congrats you have a great product in the market 😎
