How many breaks you take daily? Do you prefer one longer or many short pauses? ^_^

Several cigarette and coffee breaks! but often speaking of work, does that count?
Maria
@fares_aktouf I am wondering the same :DDD
Maria
@fares_aktouf To be honest I wouldn't count it XD But I guess it wouldn't be fair towards people who are not drinking coffee or smoking cigarettes.. :))

@maria_brm ah :D it can't be easy for them
Maria
@fares_aktouf Indeed :D It is tricky especially in an office where people usually think they need ''an excuse'' for a break.. :D

I take one longer break because the short breaks can often turn into longer ones, without you even noticing. And in turn, you get less work done than you decided.

@g_sanjna So true! It was happening to me before while working in an office.. Time slides away and it end up that I must finish things at home.. :// Remote working made me so much more productive.. ^^

According to research, our metabolism starts slowing down after 30 minutes of sitting, and after 2 hours, it goes down by 90 percent. So just getting up for 5 minutes every 2 hours will get things going again. And I try following this, and it has helped me in increasing my productivity as well.

@nabeel_amir Indeed, I am trying to do the same, especially when I feel that I have slowed down... I had so interesting first working experience after my studies, during one internship: I had so a cool boss - she really took care of us, reminding us about staying hydrated, eating healthy, and taking breaks. She used to force us to jump 10-ishy min on a trampoline in a garden each 2h! :DD Even tho we all thought firstly she was crazy, soon all of it made sense! We stayed energized, we worked better, we kept a childish funny spirit, and - this activity indeed connected the team in a very nice friendly way! ^__^
