How do you make time to do other things (side projects / reading / learning) during a work day?

For casual readings, I have my daily metro rides. That's the best time to catch up on my reading. For other things, having a four-day work week really helps me wind down and catch up on some creative and analytical writing - that I enjoy.

@varun_guru that is good to hear, so you do most of your things on weekends?

If I can, I do these things at the start of the day. If I have work that I have to do, I'm more likely to push on and do it later in the day as I'm more accountable to that work.

I don`t work on weekends. But I also have studies and family to juggle. There is very little time ( and energy) left for other activities. Sometimes I just take naps instead. But at the end of the day it`s all about priorities and balance. I try to be as productive and organised as possible during the workweek and I try to use my weekends and evenings to either take time to myself or meet friends. I am not currently engaging in any side project or hobby, as I would burn myself out from all the demands.

@angeli_ Glad to hear I am not the only one 😊 In this hustle culture needing to take naps sometimes makes me feel like I am not measuring up or something...

@santalo Yep! Top tip if you don't know already: if you're tight on time, 30 minute and 1 hour 30 minutes are most recommended as they allow you to go through one sleep cycle.
