Initial idea or problem-space comes from own experience, a problem you have suffered. Then refinement comes with user conversations.

@roberjet Thanks for sharing your experience! It's great to hear how you came up with your startup's idea. It's inspiring to see how user conversations can help refine an idea.

I solved my own problem. I have an informational podcast that I wanted to mine for ebooks and once I started the work, I realized I would teach AI to do it and the Magic Bookifier was born.
Samar Ali
@victor_varnado Congratulations on creating the Magic Bookifier! It sounds like you had a great idea and put in the work

@victor_varnado This is awesome. Devs who solve their own problems know exactly what is needed for their user experience. Nice not to have to rely on external resources to valid your ideas

Before https://Skinive.com, I was involved in the development of other telemedicine ("remote medicine") and noted that about 20% of all patient questions were related to skin diseases. Patients had to wait a long time for an answer from the dermatologist. Market research indicates a large shortage of specialists: on average, there are only 35 dermatologists per 1 million inhabitants in the European Union, which is clearly insufficient. The emergence of artificial intelligence gave the solution, especially high-precision artificial intelligence solutions for medical imaging processing. Unlike complicated X-rays, MRIs and CT scans of internal organs, taking pictures of the skin is much easier. Through these developments, skinive has automated the assessments of skin conditions with the help of artificial intelligence and a smartphone.

@malkielfalcone Shinive is a really promising technology, hope it will receive more and more attention and support.
We were constantly finding ourselves asking each other where certain files were located, who had access to them, or how to find a Figma design. Despite using Google Drive, Notion, Slack, and Figma, we still struggled to stay organised. That’s when Wildan, our CTO, proposed an idea of building a search engine that could scan all of our apps and find any needed data with a simple title or keyword search. This is the story of Klu.so :)
Samar Ali
@sandradjajic That's a great idea! It sounds like it would be really helpful for staying organized and finding the right information quickly. Have you started building it yet?
@samalyx Yes, we are planning on adding few new integrations and that will be done by 17th of April. Right now, we are in public beta so feel free to try it out. We would appreciate your feedback :)

Me and my co-founder just had a brainstorm session where we threw music related concepts against a wall and see which one we loved most!
Samar Ali
@aaronoleary That's a great idea! It's always important to brainstorm and come up with creative solutions.

Me & my co-founder were working on a mobile app. We encountered couple of major issues including UI sluggishness and memory leaks which were not easily reproducible. We started writing some code to capture such issues in production, and we kept adding other capabilities. Finally we decided to productise that and thus we came up with Finotes (https://finotes.com)
Samar Ali
@robin_a_p Really inspiring to hear that you were able to solve a problem you were facing and turn it into a successful business.

I think the key is to think about what you could improve on a day-to-day basis, either in your business or in your personal life.
Samar Ali
@biglysales Sounds like you have a great approach - focusing on what improvements can be made in business or life is definitely a great place to start.

I work daily with a lot of e-commerce brands on Shopify, and work on various projects that solve a lot of issues they face or functionality they want to add to their stores. Using this information, I see a lot of gaps on the Shopify platform, and also notice patterns of frequent pain points that my clients have. This has given me tons of info. I have some ideas for a couple of Shopify apps to build out and launch on the app store, so I'm working on those now! Pay attention to your users, customers, or clients problems. Identify a solution, and create it. Solve real problems that people and businesses have and you'll find a business idea in no time.

Probably by spending my past 6 years working for corporations and seeing a lot of people disengaged, lacking motivation, and simply not caring. Felt like something was missing, so one day I just told myself: what if I can change this? I guess only time will tell, but for now, I have my hopes up!

As someone who loves all kinds of movies, but especially horror films, I’ve spent years creating short video clips that showcase my favorite scenes and quotes. But, until recently, I struggled to find an effective way to search for and share these clips online. That’s why I came up with VLIKS - an app that lets you easily share your favorite internet videos with others. Whether you’re an avid movie fan like me or just looking for a fun way to express yourself and share video content with your friends, VLIKS has got you covered. You can download it now form both Apple and Google Play stores.

I make music. Sometimes I look for instrumentals on YouTube, then write to the audio. Rather than saving them separately in notes, I made https://lyrist.app.

After doing that job as a paid person for a while, I lost interest in it. I therefore launched my own company in an effort to change course. I would really appreciate your thoughts on the following: https://www.producthunt.com/disc...
