Has this summer affected your productivity?

A little for sure! We are getting sporadic heatwaves coupled with 100% humidity here and it makes it tough to sit at a desk and work!

It's very hard to keep working when friends are sending pictures from surfing. So the only prescription I have is just go back to work 😁

India has a tropical climate. So right now it's high temperature with high humidity. Surely decreases some productivity.

League of Legend has affected my productivity, and Ive just started playing this summer. I dont know if I should blame this on the summer.

The summer hasn't gone much as planned because of some political issues in my country and other personal ones. It has somehow rattled me, but I haven't lost hope.

I'm mostly working at night when the weather is a little bit cooler. It's even tougher to work out.

I have now placed "must have AC" on my future apartment requirements for sure. I fall asleep too easily in the heat.

Well, it sure has been annoying. It should be the Monsoon in India, but the Sun's still showing up to be stubborn 👀 I wish the weather patterns affected my productivity. Fortunately/Unfortunately it doesn't 😛

Thanks for the question, Ksusha. Summer and the sun make me much more productive. I enjoy eating watermelon and working at the same time😆. Although if it is too hot, it is much better to work with air conditioning.

This summer has been incredibly productive! Despite the situation in my country, my team is ready for new successes!

It's kind of weird because I feel impacted by the heat but I don't feel that it impacted my productivity. Maybe going through personal life changes and visiting different places helped me focus even more on work Also the majority of the summer was about writing documentation for our product, so that was a challenging and very good learning experience that kept me going

Haha, heat is indeed tough on everyone regarding productivity. I benefit a lot from breaks. Work focused for 30 min, take 5 min breaks, then do it all over again. I can recommend using https://brain.fm It helps improve your focus. Good luck in the heat 😅

Well, when working remotely it's perfect to work with air conditioning :) I can't say the same thing when I work from the office; lunch breaks are a bit 🔥

Oh yes, a lot. These days my brain stops functioning around 16, so I'm trying to do as many as I can before that time. Nothing really helps, but I definitely eat more ice-cream more often than before.

Obviously, it affects my productivity. I have a few reasons for it. The first one is, that I'm bored to see all the holiday stories. Sometimes, I think people, who share holiday stories, don't work anywhere. But after it, I remember that we are on social media and it's not the same as it seems :). The second reason is more acceptable than the first one. It's about the weather. Because of the hot weather, I can feel the sun on my skin... High degrees... The last one is also related to the weather. Because of the high degrees, it's hard to go to work. But also, due to hot weather, it's hard to stay at home. Paradox :D

I have goals. It's hard for me and sometimes I want to give up. But every time I say to myself: “Is that all? You gave up? What about your goals? Come on, take heart and move forward! What doesn't kill us makes us stronger!"

Go to large supermarket in local area. Indeed it is very hot outside. However, very cool inside. Shop a little walk one round around the store, at a quick pace. Shop for what is needed back at the office. Pay for groceries and return to office. All in a day of work at at the office. And a walk-around the supermarket while shopping.
