Hi Calum, Great topic! Here is my modest list: - https://www.pandapackaging.co.uk... - guys are building reusable alternatives to plastic packaging from bamboo - https://uk.whogivesacrap.org/ - recycled toilet paper, love their mission - https://twigcard.com/ - sustainable fintech - https://www.zipsale.co.uk/ - an ecosystem for re-commerce
Hey Calum, I love this question. Here's my list of 3 favorite climate products and services: - www.Ecosia.org is an excellent search engine to plant trees that are funded by advertising fees on their network. On average, about 49 searches will plant a tree. - www.GoldStandard.org - some of the best sustainable initiatives you can support. Each project is a certified carbon offset which helps sustainable developments get the funding they need. These sustainable developments include renewable energy plants, creating more energy-efficient kitchens in areas that previously relied on wood, as well as effective community led recycling and restoration projects. - www.Ourforest.io - I have to mention my own company, sorry. Our Forest helps brands automatically plant trees with every sale, signup, service, download, and more. Plus we set this up for you, including marketing materials, badges, and tree-counters on your website, product, packaging, and social pages. With plant sites across the globe, Our Forest employs local people in communities that have suffered major deforestation, and as a result, are facing extreme poverty since the natural water cycles have been disrupted and the land has been desertified โ€” rending the land infertile and without wildlife and biodiversity. By giving these people fair wages, they can now put food on the table, send their kids to school, and live a more comfortable life. And by reforesting these areas, it restores the land, water cycles, and more, creating long-term economic stability for these communities. Really looking forward to discovering more climate tech in this thread.

@luke_mondora These are some great suggestions and Our Forest looks like a fantastic initiative, thanks for sharing Luke! Have you posted Our Forest on Product Hunt yet, I'm sure the community would love to learn more about it!

I've personally been a long-time subscriber of Climeworks Pioneers, which is a subscription service which offsets your carbon emissions by removing excess CO2 from the air. I've also used Buy For Life as a resource to find genuine reviews for products which are built to last and are sustainable. Excited to find some new products and tools in this thread!
@calum This is such a cool concept. Turning airborne CO2 into stone is extremely clever. Reminds me of a gas company in Iceland who injects uncaptured gas back into the ground to turn it into stone.

Hey Calum, I'd add the textile exchange to things to check out (https://mci.textileexchange.org/). It provides interesting benchmarks for the textile industry. particularly from a sustainable materials sourcing point of view. Plus to add, something I've built (hope it's ok to post). Iโ€™m working on a platform (built initially for myself but it got out of hand) that allows you to monitor the use of the fashion-related products you own. On the back of that various analytics are generated such as water used, carbon impact, cost per wear, % wardrobe used, etc. For the wardrobe items not being used, Iโ€™ve built out e-comm functionality that allows you to rent it out via the platform. https://meetyourwardrobe.com/why... All feedback is welcome, itโ€™s pretty new, so still in an Alpha-ish state. Probably tons of ux/ui work still needed.

I really like all the kelp related projects, because it's used in so many different industries โ€” food, fuel, fashion, beauty, pharmaceuticals, etc. Oh, it also helps with storm surge. Who wants to fund my Brooklyn kelp farm?

I just learned about one called Ridwell when I moved to Denver (they're Portland based). I reached out to them to see if they are going to launch on PH :). They pick up your hard-to-recycle recycling (like packaging plastic) every few weeks. That's really important to me because I prioritize recycling, but I'm so busy that making the trip to somewhere that accepts these materials is hard to do. And especially after moving, I have so much packaging waste from buying new things for my home.

I really love this day, and it shows how many more problems humanity has today, and how much I want people to change faster. I like many projects including technologies tied to solar energy. Not so long ago I was interested in the issue of solar panels cost, in order to put it on my site

There are many exciting products and tech initiatives addressing climate change. Some favorites include electric vehicles (EVs) for reducing carbon emissions in transportation, smart thermostats like Nest that optimize energy use in homes, and vertical farming systems for sustainable agriculture. These innovations offer practical solutions for a more sustainable future.
