Hey guys! Phovi (https://phovi.app) is about to leave Alpha MVP to Beta, but we have reached a 5K Monthly Users community in 7 weeks. If you are just starting, here are some tips I've learned since I created Phovi. . bootstrap for as long as you can. nothing kills engagement and communities more than an unengaged community trying to get money out of them. . when in beta, engage your community for 3 - 6 months, then introduce monetization for it. it's a habit so people will want to stick to it and keep using your features. . create rules, enforce them, and ban trolls. . for a new community, promote daily/weekly intros, highlight members, ask many questions, and keep the discussion flowing. we all have seen it in Product Hunt and Startup School. Focus on healthy growth, build something awesome, and meet interesting people. Best of luck in 2021 guys!
