What's the best way to build up 'hype' for launch of your product?

(i.e collect emails so you can blast notify everyone all at once)
As titled. What are some effective ways people have found to drive traffic to your site to increase email collection so you can notify a large # of people on launch?

@teabuddy_canada Good question :) The article talks about apps but I guess you can use some of the tactics he is writing about. Just some thoughts:

- FOMO - launch a limited edition of tea type/flavour 
- Build a community - I am sure you know some people who are tea fanatics who can be the very first customers.

Content is key and once you have traffic through content, integrating a product or service becomes easier. I am still struggling with the content aspect.
