How do I set a remote content/community manager up for success?

I've got a great candidate, but I feel like I haven't done a good job of laying out exactly what I need him to do in order to set him up for success. I'd love to hear how others have structured these types of roles. How do I successfully make a DJ clone of @abadesi ?😆
