Simple Pomodoro timer in your Mac's menu bar - divide tasks into intervals (generally 25 minutes long) separated by short breaks. It's a common technique for maintaining focus but everybody is different so give it a try and see if it works for you.

The human brain wasn't built to go at full steam for hours on end. Studies have shown that performance suffers when you spend prolonged periods focusing on the same task. Brief mental breaks can help you stay focused, as well as give your mind the freedom to wander (which is necessary for creative and complex problem-solving).

I've used this for years. Is dead simple. Has a super simple UX. One nice bonus feature is that it will add each of your pomo's to your calendar. So if you want to track how many you did in a day, you can look back in see. I generally just turn it on when I'm having trouble getting into "the zone"

A great Kanban board application - the two main standout features are a time-tracking timer (with pomodoro option), and swimlanes. Fair prices too (they have a free tier as well)

Built-in pomodoro timer and great reports. I use it for my weekly planning. Works very well on mobile too (just add it to your homescreen). Here is a nice overview of the app : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9k0OhJkjQ0

I was a trello user for 2+ years, but now prefer kanbanflow - I would say because it feels less bloated and is really suited to my current scenario of 3 users.
