Flipagram, the video creation app that was once considered a serious threat to Instagram, has been acquired by Toutiao, a Chinese news aggregator, according to Flipagram CEO Farhad Mohit. Flipagram will retain its app and office and remain "completely independent," Mohit said. Recode previously reported that the two sides were in serious acquisition talks.

Buzzy mobile video app Flipagram is raising $50 to $60 million in funding at a $300 million valuation. We're hearing from sources that Sequoia is in the round. The WSJ reported recently that Flipagram, which creates short video sets from photos set to music, was raising cash at a $300 million valuation.

I use Lightroom for iOS (for some reason no one has submitted the iOS app on PH) so have linked the Android version - but it's available in the App Store. It helps organise and edit photos in a pro way - and on the go! (plus Desktop version).

Just getting started on using Lightroom following a friend's recommendation. It's a little different to what I'm used to (Snapseed for the win!) but it does have a few great features that make photos look like they were taken by a pro!
