What's the best data recovery app for Mac?

For a corrupted or accidently deleted SD card or HDD, what's the best data recovery app out there for Mac? I've tried a few trials with various apps and realised they all have varying % of files recovered so I'm guessing there is a 'best' out there somewhere right? A side note: I've recently had an iPhone update that crashed and required my phone to be reset to factory mode, I've found that none of the phone recovery apps can save any un-backed-up photos on the phone. Sobs. 3 months of photos all gone~ Backup your phone before updates yo.

    Disk Drill
Disk drill is my go to recovery app, while V3 is a good upgrade because of the UI I recently noticed that V2+ was significantly better at recovering files from formatted HDD's, tested others but DD did the job every time.
