- I use this one for all of my screen recording needs. A super simple free app that lives in your menu bar. Exports to GIF, WebM and MP4. 👌Timothy made this productI'm a bit bias since I worked on Kap; but as an actual user of it daily for my full-time job, I can't recommend it enough. I've tried many others and have never been fully satisfied as I have with the ease and quality of Kap and its resulting Kaptures. 🎉
- Use CloudApp to record and share videos. I also use native QuickTime Player – just click File > New Screen Recording. QuickTime can also record iPhone/iPad screen by New Movie Recording, you will see yourself but can switch to device via arrow icon near the rec button.
- Free. Simple. Effective. It is missing advanced features, but for simply recording the screen (or a window/area of the screen), a voice/audio stream and highlighting clicks, you can't beat it.
A friendly request to Ilos team: for early stage startups ie. broke people ;) any chance you could come out with a reasonable price per video instead of monthly fee? Something really really simple to take advantage of the basic that ilos have to offer. Like screen recording, a few edits, GIF converter and that's it.
Best thing ever. I use it a lot when product testing, it's so much easier to explain when I find a bug to our developers, also works great for recording calls and doing demos or tutorials.
I use loom to create screen recordings to send to customers who use our software. It is the best way to answer customers questions about how to do something with a software product. Far superior to explaining via email or with support articles. Not only is it better, it is faster! Yes, it is faster to use Loom's chrome for a screen recording walking the customer through the process than it is to type an email instructing them. Love Loom.
