Other than Asana and Trello, what do people use to plan / track projects?

We have a number of large projects that require multiple parties to be involved. What do people use to best manage and track projects involving external members of the team 👌

I used Basecamp when I worked on a team of 5. It was remarkably easy, intuitive, and had ways for us to schedule tasks related to projects and assign them to each other. Also a small chat feature built in that we used as a whiteboard of sorts.
