What's the easiest way to create GIFs for the web?

I've had to download all different kinds of video tools and add-ons to make GIFs, but is there an easier way? A "one stop shop" if you will?

    Giphy Capture

Turn anything on your screen into a GIF!

Ryan Hoover73Founder, Product Hunt · Written
Giphy Capture is the best GIF-creation tool I've tried... and I've used a few. 😉 My favorite part is the ability to crop the GIF and modify the size/frame rate so it's not too large (pro tip: Twitter won't accept GIFs larger than 10MB).

From Twitter support page: https://support.twitter.com/arti... What are the size and file type requirements? Photos can be up to 5MB; animated GIFs can be up to 5MB on mobile, and up to 15MB on web. Hi Ryan!!

The whole team at Product Hunt uses CloudApp and we're all obsessed. (Just ask @nivo0o0 @ayrton @mscccc for further validation!) It just WORKS! GIFs are easy to make, download, and share, as are screenshots! It's the only thing I use anymore.

I originally balked at the price, but it really is worth every penny. Like Kate said, it just works. CloudApp is frictionless and fantastic.

CloudApp is the quickest way of creating GIFs on Mac. With Annotate, you can also annotate the GIFs, screenshots, etc. Same as the main CloudApp menu bar app, just wanted to add the most recent Product Hunt product.
