What tool do you use to send transactional emails?

I want to be able to send instant email notifications based on what's happening inside my app. So I'm looking for an easy-to-use tool that allows personalization (e.g., "You've been invited to [project_name] by [inviter_name]") and that ideally has a WYSIWYG editor. Thanks in advance!

Made for sending a high-volume of emails, Amazon's SES (Simple Email Service) is cheap, effective and works perfectly. A little DIY when it comes to the lower levels of pricing, but it's a value option.

A self-hosted email client. I paired this with Amazon SES to send a few hundred thousand emails to users.

The best solution for sending transactional emails, SendGrid is easy to use, has lots of options and works perfectly. A little pricier, but worth it in my opinion. Caveat - It's been 2 years since I used any high-volume emailing solutions, so YMMV. :)

I decided to go with this one, after comparing it to Sendgrid I thought it had a simpler learning curve.
