Where to find early users for apps in beta?

I'm looking for the best places to offer early access to an app currently in development. My friends and family are great but sometime they're too nice and I can't rely on their feedback. I'd like to open it up to everyone else to use and get their thoughts. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Quora is a great platform for finding interested users (especially if your product solves a problem which a lot of people face).

    Discover tomorrow's startups, today.

You should use betalist, they are doing exactly that and you can get results, you can either get listed for free within a month I think, or pay for immediate listing and you can expect beta testers and lots of visits to your new product to get some sort of early validation.

This takes some effort, but you can ask potential users a few questions on Twitter. Engage with people, and ask follow-up questions too. You'll not only find early users for your beta app, but you'll get feedback on what to build and what you should build next. Just publish your product on the product hunt and you will get a lot of feedback and beta users.
