What's the best affordable standing desk?
I'm outfitting a home office and looking for an affordable, motorized standing desk (sub-$500 but ideally much cheaper).

- Raphaël ChabaudGrowth & Product Marketer · WrittenYou can buy, the non electric version for around 200€ in Europe. I let it in the standing position with my laptop on it. Great value.Dan EdwardsDesigner @ Snyk - Ex Product Hunt · WrittenMaybe just over your $500 budget (not sure as I'm in UK) but had mine for just under a year and really impressed by it! Can't say I've tried any others as this was my first standing desk but I can definitely recommend it!Lex ValishviliUX / UI Designer · WrittenQuality is not as great as more expensive options, but it can do the job. A little wobbly when in standing position, that was my only complain 🤷🏻♂️
- Alex WhiteFreelance web dev, entrepreneur. · WrittenHigh quality, motorized control with height presets, and pretty good prices. The bamboo looks awesome as well.Kunal Bhatiadesign @mercury · WrittenI just ordered Autonomous desks. Splurged a bit with the dual motors and bamboo top, but I absolutely love the desks. Assembly was mostly smooth sailing and their customer support is great. You can always get your own table top if you want to save money.Sameer SontakeyCEO / Founder at Biostrap · WrittenAwesome desk. I bought one years ago and convinced my entire office to buy them. That's 20 tables! Really good quality motors, and extremely well-priced.
- Joanna WlaźlakPlatform at VC · WrittenHey Ryan, we’re a little late to the party 🎉 (we only launched Opendesk on PH today) but you should check out our Lift Standing Desk! We host the design on our platform and connect customers to local makers all around the world 🌎Nick Ierodiaconouco-CEO, Opendesk · WrittenNick Ierodiaconou made this productYep, this may be a little late, but we also have the designs for this desk available as an open source digital file. So Ryan, if you are into digital fabrication at all and don't mind getting your hands dirty, we'd be more than happy to send across a file to try making yourself. The cost of materials and milling should be pretty competitive if you are willing to do some DIY finishing and assembly!
