What's the best tool to make a GIF?

I see some very nice GIF illustrations on PH but I was wondering what was the best tool to make those GIFs. Thanks for your help!

I love using Giphy, also for tracking issues and capturing feedback. The Mac app allows you to capture a part of the screen and then adjust the recording (e.g. speed, loop, quality) and export as .gif or .mp4

I've really loved using this every day. The fact that you have a little "floating button" when I use a supported app, is fantastic. I try to use Samsung's default Messages app, but it doesn't show the floating button there. This a lack of API? If you can get GIF compression for sending texts, that'll be 🔥 Keep it up! Love the branding too! 👍🏼

Very easy to use Gif screen recorder! Records at 12fps and is designed for power users like developers or designers. You can use any software to make the content then record your screen afterwards.

    • Always love a good gif recorder!! Once you have one you find more and more practical uses for it.

For those of you on PC, www.screentogif.com is really great. It's portable and lets you annotate as well.
