What's the best PDF editor for Mac?

I'm looking for an application that allows me to do basic editing of PDF documents.

  1. I just downloaded Document 365 by Kdan Mobile to my MacBook Air and I'm quite happy with it so far (on a friend's recommendation). This software comes with a PDF Mobile Reader app as well, so I can work on my phone and when I'm away from my laptop. The editing I'm able to do includes: PDF annotation, image to PDF, form filler, page editor, watermarks, split and merge as well as file conversion, faxing and file compression. It's fairly easy to use and I feel like I'm already quite familiar with the software and enjoy using it. There's also OCR (optical character recognition) and it's probably going to be one of my most used tools. Like it so far and we'll see how it goes, but it's fairly promising, from what I can tell

Really like using Document365 on my Mac - I'm able to do editing, annotations, fill in forms, compress PDFs and convert files. Easy to learn and to use. Great software.

Though I use it on iOS, PDF Expert had so many useful features, and the company provides awesome support.

Apple's own Preview app has all the relevant features most of the others try and charge you for.

It's simple and easy to use, and marking up is pretty great. I love using the iOS version with Apple Pencil which hopefully we will see some future integration to make the macOS version more powerful.
