- Depends on what you define as a "search engine for movies". My go-to website for all things movies is IMDb. Can't find a website that is more resourceful than this, but then again this is purely informational. You can't stream/download movies. It has a really customizable search. Although I do not like that you can not exclude genres. If you are looking for Horror Action you may end up with Horror Drama in the results.
- It has some form of a graph algorithm that shows related movies. I have found out some of my favorites from here.
- Tejas Mehta made this productIt’s google for movies. It collects all the relevant information on movies from across the internet (trailers, ratings, streaming providers etc.) and allows for advanced queries like ‘english movies about lawyers released after 2000 on netflix or hulu’
Overall amazing app! I'm not going to be deleting it from my phone anytime soon. A feature to discuss and debate about movies with people all over the world it would be the cherry on top.
I have been using MustApp 2.0 from a week now and the first thing you notice is design. Its really minimal and sleek. One of the best looking app I've seen in long time.
Now coming to features, it lacks many features that other 'Movie social network' have.
Would love to see movies/tv shows tracking, episodes in tv shows, rating feature in ratings.
Keep it up, dev!
- It recommends movies instead for user rating for user TCI, so it takes users with similar tastes and recommends you movies the site thinks you are going to like. You have to vote a lot before the system gets accurate. No matter the rating system because at the end it recommends by TIER so maybe you vote movies with a 60/100 to be just not boring and another user does the same with 50/100. In the end, both users have the same TIER so his 60/100 will be your 70/100 no matter the way you rate. It is kind of hard to explain but I think that the closest explanation I came up. It has an average customizable search.
