Is there a decent cooking / recipe app for beginners?

I'm looking for a decent cooking app where I can find different recipes for beginners. Is there any you prefer?

HelloFresh

I like HelloFresh as everything is organised for you. You pick the meal you'd like to cook then receive the ingredients right to your door (and in the right portions) with a step by step guide to prepare the meal. You really can't go wrong no matter your skill level.

Blue Apron

Great recipes delivered weekly to your home

Blue Apron is very similar to Hello Fresh, but they offer tons of recipes on their website and app as well as technique videos for beginner home cooks. They include paper recipe cards in their weekly boxes too, which is a fun "old school" way to learn new recipes and have them handy in the kitchen (I single hole punch the corner, but them on a binder loop, and hang them on a hook!).

Yummly

Discover creative recipes

I like Yummly because it has infinite scroll and I can stop when I see something I like. Yummly pulls the recipes from a lot of different websites so there is a lot of choose from. Also, as you add things that you like it will start recommending recipes and putting things you might like at the top of your list.
