To be up front, I'm a co-founder :) That being said, Kadenze is unique among other MOOC providers in that we're a full STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) provider. We partner with some of the best schools in the world (e.g. Stanford, Princeton, CalArts, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Goldsmiths London), and our production department (instructional designers, animators, motion artists, filmmakers, and editors) work with the universities to produce very high-quality content. Our engineering team then develops all kinds of tools to make learning more interactive.
Our courses cover everything from art history to creative coding, music production, signal processing, deep learning, etc. One of the unique things about our coding and data science courses is that they are all project-driven courses that get you to explore the topics creatively. Our Deep Learning course in Python/Tensorflow for example has recently been rated the #1 Deep Learning course on the web (https://medium.freecodecamp.org/...
) and Google is now partnering with us to turn it into a three-course Program which is just around the corner.
Most of the courses on Kadenze.com are free if you want to watch the material. Premium membership is $10/month and lets you take as many courses as you'd like, and receive a credential (Certificate of Accomplishment) for any that you complete satisfactorily. You also get access to exclusive student discounts from many of our industrial partners like Ableton, Adobe, and more. A little while ago we launched Kadenze Programs (https://www.kadenze.com/programs
), which are typically 2-3 courses, and allow you to gain a deeper understanding of a subject. Programs also give you access to exclusive content, e.g. the first course in a Program is available to everyone on Kadenze, and courses 2 and 3 are exclusive to those enrolled in the Program. Upon completion of a Program, you receive a Specialist Certificate which shows that you've taken a series of classes and a summative assessment which demonstrates your mastery of the subject. Many Programs also bundle transferrable college credit into their prices, so for learners who are also trying to accelerate their college degree, or make up some units, it's a great path for them as well.
