What's the best way to keep track of your spendings as a couple?

I'm looking for something that my wife and I could use to track what we spend our money on every week. Something where we could just enter the amount.

Splitwise has monthly expense reports that can be used for that purpose, even though it may not be the best to portray this kind of relationship, since it will portray expenses as "debt"

Love Splitwise. Been using it to manage expenses with friends for eons now. It is extremely nifty, I love the reports and alerts functions. Works well with friends, and I've had a few couples use it too, to manage their expenses.

A friend introduced me to split wise while we were vacationing and it's an amazing app. No more mental notes on who paid for what.

Works great in office when we are ordering food or go out for tea :)

It's been nearly a year since I started to use this app. That experience pushed me to the idea that I can offer something better to all people like me. Now I have my own app called Spend Together :) Check out how it turned out:

I use Next. This has as far as I know no partner accounts, but a really solid iCloud sync. The interface is really awesome and made for easy expense tracking on the go. The statistics are detailed enough and for cross reference I use the excel export to feed that into my bank account managing software.

    1. Syncs well 2. Not limited just to couples, works for more than 2 members. 3. Multiple accounts to track 4. Most important of all.. it's their UX and clean interface.
