Product Hunt 4.0 is the best that has happened to Product Hunt yet. Easily one of my most favorite websites these days, and I see myself coming back daily to maintain my streak. I am at a 20 day streak now and I hope to see badges evolve with daily streaks - some sort of perks for people coming more often?

This update is super useful for people deciding whether or not to use a product. Sometime you want to do a deep dive into a product before deciding whether or not to use it.

The "😻 reviews" feature, as well as the "🔗 Around the Web" section makes this deep dive super easy.

I'm a part of a ton of Slack communities but I'm active in only a handful.

Slack works to its fullest only when it is implemented in a team and everyone's supposed to use it for communication. Slack could/should improve on making the communities on it better by adding relevant features.

Anything that these guys produce is a game changer! they are not only forward thinkers, they reinvent to wheel to be better than when it was first created. Fresh eyes, fresh ideas and exemplary implementations with attention to detail.

      Stripe Atlas was a godsend.

My startup, tonebase, incorporated using Stripe Atlas. It was both easier, faster and MUCH cheaper than using lawyers. Our lawyers were quoting upwards of a few thousand dollars to file the incorporation forms whereas Stripe Atlas was just $500 + some other small fees.

In addition they give you AWS credits and some other perks (that I don't particularly remember). Stripe also provides some really awesome documents courtesy of their legal partner that really walk you through the options you have regarding equity splitting, C-corp benefits, and all sorts of legal items most people are ignorant to.

I HIGHLY recommend Stripe Atlas for any startup, individual or company. Honestly the idea of starting a company is daunting WITHOUT the legal hassle, and Stripe makes it stupid simple.

Easy, fast application (the actual forms, etc.), great communicative team, relatively fast EIN numbers and paperwork/forms, and perhaps best of all $10,000 in AWS credits (which we have yet to scratch the surface of).

If there was ONE negative it would be that Stripe really does ask you to describe your business in detail. When we applied for incorporation our business model was in flux - subscription platform, FFS platform, etc. we weren't really sure. This caused a delay and some small amount of tension BUT it was honestly really helpful for US. My advice if you are in a similar situation would be to just pick a very straightforward, simple business model when you apply and then of course (like any good startup lol) pivot.

The reason they do this is for reporting/tax reasons (or so they say) which seems understandable and reasonable. Overall Stripe Atlas is AMAZING and I would highly highly recommend it.

On my behalf of our entire team at Beeem I can only say positive thigs. Support feels like it's always on, you get answers to all of your questions pretty fast even during the process. Everithing was figured out by the time I encountered any challenges, like mailing the company credit card to us (as it by default can not be mailed outside the US).

The market for HR tech has risen exponentially, especially with what Recruitee is doing! I work with them and know how well they are doing. They streamline the hiring process, but they also work on powerful upgrades all the time, like notifications, sharing candidate info with external recruiters, and a mobile app release. The co-founder, Perry Oostdam, also gets to go to fun tech events and speak, like TNW 2017.

While this app may not be the most #disruptive app on my iPhone, I love that the HBO team took the effort to actually build the app depicted in the show. And it works.

Not Hotdog may not be homescreen-worthy but it's a fun joke that illustrates the increasing influence of tech on culture and the media industry (and visa versa).

Content serves for education, decision, and delight and Medium lives up to this one hundred percent. I love the findability, personalization, engagement opportunities, branding flexibility, and the brilliant "shout from the terrace" feeling when I write and read content.

I've loved Medium since the beginning, and stuck with them through multiple strategic shifts. Personally, I'm disappointed that the 'platform for media companies' model didn't take off. I would've loved seeing more publishers like The Awl and their ilk producing world-class content, supported by the technical prowess of Medium. But alas, that didn't pan out. Still, I'm happy to subscribe and see my money going toward creators.

Mobile security is more and more important nowadays, that’s why I think no matter who you are, what you do. You will need an app to protect your phone! I am using this app called ‘AppLock’, which is amazing because it can lock all of my apps, images even videos. This app is always on my list when it comes to app recommendation. The one thing that I like the most about this app is that it can take photos of the person who’s trying to unlock your phone! This feature is really funny because I always got the intruder selfie notification from my kids. They are trying really hard to unlock my phone for video games. If you are a cautious people, you really do need one of this app.
