What are the best headphones for working?

Is it bad I still use $30 ear buds? I'm talking about when you need to get shit done & don't want to be interrupted.

This is what I've used at work for years. The newest version is even better, you can walk around the office without taking them off. πŸ˜€ I see people walking around with these on all the time in SF. But, I leave these at my desk & use a pair of earbuds for when walking around outside / gym / not-working. Noise cancelling feels dangerous to me when walking in a city.

Work really well but don't give off that "I don't want to talk to you" vibe you may be going for.

    • Instant bluetooth, light weight, no cords and a case that recharges means that you'll find yourself using the Airpods far more than normal wired headphones. Great for workouts too. The perfect gift for people who spend a lot of time making calls or listening to podcasts or music.

There are just an amazing piece of technology, they work great, stay and feel pretty good in the ears and they totally helped me forget 3.5mm audio jack... what a courage!

Active noise cancellation is a powerful thing, man. It's seriously life-changing. These drown out almost everything, and you can put your hand over the outside of the headphone temporarily to hear if someone's talking to you.

$160~ - These things are ungodly soft and comfortable. Very easy to wear for hours and forget you're wearing them. Great for immersive sound but not being completely isolated. And it's Sennheiser, so the sound is very, very good.

If on a budget - couldn't go better for $25. Sound like $75 overears, depending on the comparison could sound like $200 headphones πŸ˜‰ If you have $$$ I'd check out my next recommendation (Sennheisers)

BeatsX are like the lovechild of Beats (or Bose) and Air Pods. Amazing sound quality, wireless, long-lasting battery and the ability to (mostly) tune out the world. Plus, at half the price of the Bose QC35, it's a lot easier to hit "add to cart".

I have typically been against using Beats headphone as I felt they were expensive for what you got. After getting a pair for free I can say that the audio quality is better than most headphones that I've owned and that the overall value is probably worth the price.
