I've played with pretty much every tool. Each time I come back to New Relic.
All of them have different strengths. Generally I find other tools to have better UI's (Skylight for example is very well done).
But the data I get from New Relic has been the most useful. It integrates with EVERYTHING. Alerting is easy. So I keep sticking with it.
Another note: Most other tools are pretty stack specific. Since New Relic works with just about everything, it's nice as your codebase expands... Or you add new services in different languages. Everything can use New Relic. No need for a mashup of different tools.
